This week, John Jasinski announced he will seek re-election to a second term in the Minnesota State Senate. Jasinski represents District 24, which includes Owatonna, Faribault, and other communities in Dodge, Rice, Steele, and Waseca counties.
“Over the past four years, it has been an honor to represent the people of District 24 at the State Capitol. We accomplished many great things, but there is work left to do,” said Jasinski. “I’m looking forward to asking the people of Dodge, Rice, Steele, and Waseca counties for their continued trust and support.”
Jasinski was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016, handily defeating the longtime DFL incumbent. In addition to his role as an assistant majority leader and majority whip, Jasinski serves as vice chair of the Senate Transportation Finance and Policy Committee. He also serves on the capital investment, education, local government, and state government committees.
Jasinski has two children and lives in Faribault, where he was the city’s mayor for eight years.
