It was an emotional day being part of the Vietnam Veteran’s Traveling Wall escort. Peter van Sluis and his wife Virginia, along with Kirk Mansfield did an outstanding job in coordinating the event. Mike Gramse and I were fortunate enough to be able to escort the Traveling Wall in a 1952 Willy’s Jeep that was donated to the event by Mike Gilbertson. Please remember ALL the veterans who serve in the military or lost the lives defending our country, especially the more than 52,000 who lost their lives in Vietnam.
Spent some time at the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus booth at the Shooters Round Up at Ahlman’s. With me are Brad Odegard and Sarah Cade of the Gun Owners Caucus. I’m happy to be endorsed by this great organization.
On Saturday and Sunday I attended the Shooters Round Up at Ahlman’s Gun Shop in Morristown. I met lots of great people over the weekend. We have a bit of rain on Saturday but Sunday was a beautiful day. There was a ton of great support for my Senate Campaign. Thanks to Larry and Mike Ahlman for having me at the event. I ran into lots of people from Senate District 24 and look forward to meeting many, many more. The food was great from many local vendors.
We spent the day at St. Thomas College in St. Paul on Friday. The event was put on by the Center of the Great Experiment. Lots of great information about Minnesota. Former Governor Tim Pawlenty was the keynote speaker.
I was fortunate to be invited to play the Owatonna Chamber’s Golf Event yesterday in Owatonna. What a great day for golf, despite a few rain showers. I got to play with these 3 guys and you can’t imagine how much fun we had. I was joined by Mike Peterson, Nick Lewis, and Dave Effertz. Thanks for all the fun! By the way we almost had a hole in one on number 11, and ended up winning the tournament. I met so many great people from the Owatonna area. Definitely, the most fun scramble tournament that I have played in many, many years. Thanks again to everyone for your fantastic support.
